Achievements

Ed Tiffey is one of few lawyers in the country to clerk for a federal district court judge, successfully prosecute a first-degree murder case, and serve as legal counsel to a sitting governor, all before the age of 35.

Ed joined the West Virginia Bar in 1992. He is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Ed is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference and former program chair of The Judge John A. Field, Jr. American Inn of Court chapter in Charleston, WV. He has also served as the Governorís designee on the West Virginia Consolidated Public Retirement Board and the West Virginia Investment Management Board.
Ed Tiffey's youth basketball "Mountaineers" won a postseason tournament championship or consolation bracket in each of the last four years.
