Ed Tiffey is one of few lawyers in the country to clerk for a federal district court judge, successfully prosecute a first-degree murder case, and serve as legal counsel to a sitting governor, all before the age of 35.
Ed joined the West Virginia Bar in 1992. He is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Ed is a Permanent Member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference and former Program Chair of the Judge John A. Field, Jr. American Inn of Court chapter in Charleston, WV. He has also served as the Governor’s designee on the West Virginia Board of Public Works, West Virginia Consolidated Public Retirement Board and the West Virginia Investment Management Board.
